Our Story: From a Passion for Baking to a Community Space

The Muffin & Sprocket began as a dream shared by Emily and George, two lifelong friends with an insatiable love for well-crafted coffee and homemade pastries. Tired of the impersonal chains, they envisioned a place where neighbours could gather, stories could be shared, and every bite and sip felt like a warm embrace. In 2018, that dream blossomed into reality right here in Bristol's vibrant Elmwood Grove.

Our quirky name, 'The Muffin & Sprocket', is a tribute to the delicate balance we strive for: the comforting, artisanal warmth of a freshly baked muffin, paired with the intricate, reliable mechanics of a well-oiled sprocket – reflecting our commitment to both craft and consistent quality. It's a little bit whimsical, just like us!

Our Philosophy: Crafted with Care, Served with Heart

At the heart of everything we do is a simple philosophy: quality, community, and genuine warmth. We meticulously source our coffee beans from ethical, independent roasters and use only the freshest, often local, ingredients for our baked goods and meals. Sustainability guides our choices, from our compostable packaging to our efforts to minimize waste.

More than just a cafe, The Muffin & Sprocket is a hub. It’s where friendships are forged, laughter echoes, and new ideas brew. We believe in fostering a welcoming environment for everyone, creating a space that feels like a home away from home. Come for the coffee, stay for the company!
